As we are relocating to the area in the next month I attended Collington surgery this morning to enquire about the method of transferring my husbands cancer treatment over to one of the hospitals in the area. The receptionist was extremely helpful and even though she could not give me an answer herself she went and spoke to a colleague to find out the answer. Her manner was friendly helpful proactive and sensitive to my anxiety in asking the question. We will be registering with this surgery.

Suggested improvements
It was a relief to just know that the Receptionist listened and made me feel that it was ok to ask - so no the Reception could not have done anymore.

Number one in the queue on the phone for 40 minutes so far, Four surgeries, one number, not a single person available to answer the phone. Shouldn’t have to be phoning, but the promised call back from last week and again this week still has not materialised. Absolutely ridiculous, no wonder the NHS is in such a state when the first port of call is close to useless. Would never have had this under some of the original Dr’s.

Suggested improvements
Make an effort to answer the phone, If a callback is promised, follow it through. Make all the GP’s within the practice see patients for at least 38 hours a week, as it is what they are paid for. Doing a few hours a few days a week is not acceptable.

I am writing to convey my frustration, concern and disappiontment for the poor level of care/treatment received by a family member who is elder, vulnerable, frail living with multi complex diagnosis. Their file is flagged for face to face appointments only but attempts to make face to face appointment's have been rotinely declined. They are not able to advocate for themselves due to age, hearing & language issues which is why I try to help. I too have found the staff and care substandard and a life/health risk. Their care has been overlooked and this is directly contributing to worsening multi level chronic conditions complications.

Suggested improvements
I would greatly appreciate the ability to address these matters of great concern with care directly with Dr. Warden and the staff's supervisor. A patient should not feel 'they don't care about me' and as a family member I am appalled more proactive care is not provided. Staff routinely complain which is highly unprofessional. I regret the matter has reached this point.

A visit to my Surgery is by appointment only. I have not been seen by a Dr in over 4 years other than in Hospital. The one number Triage Telephone is an endless wait, usually without a result due to period session comes to close. The emergency answer at the conclusion of the call is a promised call ASAP. later cancelled. My repeat prescription list is 18 years out of date. My Pharmacy no longer accepts phone call repeat prescriptions. I am an 87 year old housebound Patient without a Smartphone.

Suggested improvements
A telephone number not associated with Triaging a sick call. Results of Blood tests etc, confirm appointment or treatment dates, or any other business.

I recently visited Ninfield Surgery with my son, where we were fortunate to be under the care of Dr. Preye Mangiri. My son tends to feel anxious about visiting the doctors, and during our visit, he needed his first blood test, which he was quite apprehensive about. However, Dr. Mangiri's exceptional approach made all the difference. Dr. Mangiri demonstrated remarkable consideration and empathy towards my son. He took the time to explain the entire procedure, showing him the equipment being used and reassuring him that feeling nervous in new situations is perfectly normal. Thanks to his caring demeanor, my son felt more at ease, and Dr. Mangiri was able to successfully take his blood on the first attempt. The compassionate and patient approach displayed by Dr. Mangiri truly transformed what could have been a horrible appointment into a much more positive experience. I am immensely grateful for his assistance and wanted to express my heartfelt appreciation. I also want to mention the exceptional service provided by the rest of the nurses and receptionists at the surgery. They have always been polite and go above and beyond to assist whenever I call. Overall, our visit to Ninfield Surgery and the exceptional care we received from Dr. Preye Mangiri and the entire team has left a lasting impression. We sincerely hope that Dr. Preye Mangiri knows just how much of a positive impact he has made, and I would highly recommend his services to others in need of medical care.
